Wood & Wires is the first release of the Dillard/Nichols Duo and documents the collaboration between Ray Dillard and Don Nichols throughout vastly different physical spaces. Engaging an array of percussion instruments, circuit-bent electronics, found objects and environmental sounds, the duo crafts dynamic musical exchanges while reflecting their surroundings. Dillard and Nichols explored non-traditional spaces of a barn, dining room, and electronically between California and Toronto. The result is a collection of [quickly] shifting sonic environments, each with a distinctive landscape.
